DIY Antiperspirant/Deodorant

deodorant

1/4 Cup Organic Coconut Oil – Solid with a melting point of around 76 degrees, I buy mine at Costco. (If you decide you would like a less solid finished product you can add a bit more)

1/4 Cup Corn Starch
1/4 Cup Arrowroot Powder
2 Level TBSP Baking Soda

His: 20 Drops Tee Tree Oil / 15 Drops Sandalwood
Hers: 20 Drops Tee Tree Oil / 20 Drops Lavender / A few drops of Coty Wild Musk Perfume Oil

Measure coconut oil into a small bowl. It is easier and more accurate to measure the coconut oil if is melted. Add powders, stir to combine. Stir in essential oils and perfume.

Store in an air-tight container. Apply with fingertips.

*Use any fragrance or essential oil of your choice. I would strongly recommend the tea tree oil though, for it’s antibacterial properties.

**It may take a few days for your body to adjust to the difference in Ph from commercial deodorant. I had slight irritation for the first few days.
