Combine ingredients until incorporated, be careful not to rough up (smoosh) the hamburger meat; this will make your meatloaf tough.

I found a method of baking that will give you an even crust on more of the meatloaf’s surface than using a loaf pan.

At http://foodiewife-kitchen.blogspot.com/2009/03/blue-plate-special-very-best-meatloaf.html

I covered a cookie sheet in foil and put a wire rack also covered in foil (with holes poked in it) on top.

Bake in 350 degree preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Meanwhile make topping/meatloaf “Gravy”

In a small sauce pan over medium low heat mix together:

  • 3/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon What’s that there (Whorchester Sauce)
  • 1 Tablespoon Allegro Marinade
  • 2 Tablespoons Heinz 57 Steak Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Packed Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Minced Onion

Heat until sugar is melted and flavors combine remove from heat.  At the 45 minute mark, pour “Gravy” over Meatloaf and return to oven for 30 more minutes.

Let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
