Dry Laundry Detergent

Dry Laundry Detergent

soap1

1-4 lb 12 oz box Borax
1/2-Cup Arm & Hammer Baking Soda
1-3 lb 7 oz box Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
3-5.5 oz bars Fels-Naptha Soap
1-1.3 lb container Oxy Clean

Cost:  Less Than $15 including sales tax
Yield: 1 1/2 Gallons Dry Detergent

Instructions:

To make it easier to incorporate all the ingredients I layered as I went along.  1/3 of each dry ingredient – one grated bar of soap.  Combine.  Ends up sorta looking like worms on snow.  🙂

soap3      soap2

1/2 Tablespoon per small load
1 Tablespoon per LARGE load

*Edit – I have started adding 1 container of Purex Crystals

For fabric softener I use 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar and 4-5 drops of essential oil.
